Microsoft Showcase: Xbox 360 – Project Natal
Xbox introduces controller-free gaming and entertainment. Get off the couch and get in the game – no controller required!
Microsoft’s “Project Natal,” a new add-on for its Xbox 360 video gaming system, promises to get gamers off the couch – and more into the game – for good. The peripheral, unveiled Monday, is a combination depth-sensor, camera, microphone array, and custom processor, and lets gamers control onscreen action with full-body movements and voice commands.
Natal, which will work with all current Xbox 360s, is a revolutionary 3D motion sensor that incorporates voice recognition, ending what Microsoft termed ‘the barrier of the controller.’
Steven Spielberg was on stage to support the project – which was not given a launch date.
No Strings (or Controllers) Attached.
Project Natal, a revolutionary new way to play: no controller required. See a ball? Kick it, hit it, trap it or catch it. If you know how to move your hands, shake your hips or speak you and your friends can jump into the fun — the only experience needed is life experience.
That’s on of the reason I love Xbox. Anyway, do you know where I can find a custom rubber stamp?
