LG Optimus 2x will get the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 soon.

LG Mobile just confirmed it. The dual core wonder of their Android Optimus devices, LG Optimus 2x, will be getting the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

In an official statement released by LG Mobile on their Facebook page, LG Mobile directly denied the rumors that their Optimus 2x will not be getting the Ice Cream Sandwich update and that they are currently in the process of getting the said OS upgrade.

LG firmly denies the rumors that claim LG will not be providing the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS update for the LG Optimus 2X. These rumors are NOT true. LG is currently in the process of planning the ICS OS update for the LG Optimus 2X as well as other LG high-end smartphones. Detailed information on the ICS OS update schedule for specific models will be announced, once the ICS OS is publicly released by Google. Please stay tuned for more updates from LG.

Now call me a skeptic but I won’t ever be an instant believer until my LG Mobile updater prompts me of such update.
