Blogging is easier nowadays and this is why many people have started their own blogs not just for business but also for their journal, entertainment and information guide.

But how does blogging works with regard to recognition. Of course, one of the reasons why a person creates a blog is to go on public and share ideas, concerns, opinions and resolutions. Simply because if I’m the reader and it took a long time for the blogger to update the blog, then I’ll go switch to other updated blogs.

Third is to increase blog traffic. As most people rely to their regular audience to share their blogs just by telling it to others, you should actually not depend on this alone. If you are going to post an article, set your blog to “ping” and this will alert the readers by indicating that you just posted a new article. In this way, you will catch their attention and they will end up visiting your blog.

Fourth is to try to mention your blog whenever and wherever you can. Just by inserting your blog URL on your e-mail signature or business cards, you will be able to increase your blog’s popularity because you are able to promote your blog even with acquaintances.

Fifth is to be an active member of the blogosphere. Find time to visit other blogs with the same topic as yours or even other topics that interest you. Leaving a comment to any of their articles or at times, chat box, you are able to build a connection with other bloggers, allowing yourself to be exposed and known all over the globe.

Typically, blogging can be a hard thing as well but if you are more than willing enough and very eager to contribute your ideas and perspectives on the Internet, then all you have to do is to be creative and imaginative to produce high quality content. You may not be recognized in an instant but eventually, you can be one of the top bloggers know all over the globe.

At long last, LG Optimus Black finally sees Android 2.3 Gingerbread update! Optimus Black users might have thought that this is uber later than late as most smartphone devices nowadays are already preparing to be upgraded to Ice Cream sandwich but nevertheless, users from India and some areas in Europe are already enjoying the latest update.

That being said, Optimus Black users from other countries should expect the update in the coming days.

Report says that the updated Optimus Black units are upgraded to Android 2.3.4 which is a little bit too off the trend as current Gingerbread phones are now running on version 2.3.7.

In the meantime, LG recently spoke about its planned Optimus Black’s Ice Cream Sandwich update so many believed that the Gingerbread upgrade for this device doesn’t make any sense and pretty useless.

While searching for some motor home repair this morning, I heard that users can now push the update by using LG’s software update tool but I cannot really vouch for it. If in case any of you can push the update just right about now, then just let us know.

Siri is a voice-activated assistant that extends the functionality of the iPhone. It allows for hands free use of the phone as Siri will execute actions like sending of email or text, searching the net, calling a contact and more with just a simple voice command.

This could have been a cool feature but it turns out, it has some issues. One of the problems that have been discovered with Siri a few days after it was launched was that it poses a great security risk because Siri can be activated even on a passcode-locked phone. This means that even strangers can issue commands to Siri since it is not tied to a single voice.

Aside from this security threat, studies have shown that iPhone 4S consumes more data usage and it is all because of Siri.

Arieso, an Atlanta-based mobile network-monitoring firm has conducted studies and the results were:

• iPhone 4S has three times more data usage than iPhone 3G.
• iPhone 4S consumes twice as much data usage as iPhone 4

They blame it all to Siri as Siri needs an active Internet connection to communicate to Apple’s server before performing each request. This contributes to big amount of data usage especially for those who use Siri all the time (which is a big possibility since it is a new feature so every iPhone owner would want t try it out and at the same time, it offers a great convenience because it allows for hands free use of the phone.)

What does this mean? Increase in data consumption brought about by this new applications introduced in most of today’s smart phones has an effect both on the carrier and the subscriber:

• iPhone 4S is not the only smart phone that consumes a lot of data. Android phones being released by different cell phone manufacturers are getting high tech everyday that it is equipped with data intensive applications like the integration of Cloud technology which requires active Internet connection too like Siri. This puts a great pressure on the mobile network providers as there is a need for them to upgrade their facilities to more sophisticated devices to prevent the clogging of their network with the increase in demand for data consumption brought about by this new applications.
• For the subscriber, this comes with a financial burden as wireless operators will definitely take advantage of the increase in data usage to raise their revenue. In fact, majority of the mobile carriers charge their subscriber by their data usage and only Sprint has retained their unlimited data plan.

Ever since Apple introduced their first model of iPhone, data usage has increase and has continually been increasing each year. If we will look at this trend and with the emergence of new technology like Siri and Cloud computing, mobile network carrier will really have to do something in the near future to meet the growing demands of android and smart phone users.

The Department of Tourism’s (Philippines) campaign, “It’s more fun in the Philippines”,  has been going big and has been drawing a lot of positive feedbacks online and is now available for Android!

The app is basically a meme maker where you can process your photo to the likes of the photos posted by the DOT for it’s campaign.  Thanks to app developer, Lester Bambico, who made this app avaialable, “More fun in the Philippines“, for Android.

We’ve personally tried ‘More fun in the Philippines‘ app and we’re really impressed as the app itself is so easy to use. Just open up the app, take a picture with your camera or choose a photo from your gallery and it’ll give you an option to position your meme either on the center, bottom or at the top of the photo and the app will just be processing it for you.

The game which popularized by a Philippine noon-time show “Eat Bulaga” can now be played right at the comforts of your own home. We personally tried this app during the last year’s holiday season and we loved it!

Laser pointers are a simple little gadget that can be both fun and functional. Lots of us have used them in the office for their intended purpose but we’ve also used them for their real purpose. Feeling like a science fiction hero. Laser pointer used to come in just red but they have really blossomed since then. They are now available in a range of colors from yellow to purple and everything in between. They also come in varied strengths from perfectly safe to those that will burn materials very quickly and need to be used with protective eyewear to avoid having your vision damage by the light radiation. These are great gadgets to play with but they are definitely not toys and should be kept out of the hands of children.

RC vehicles are awesome. I played with many different cars and even hovercrafts when I was younger but the real world of RC vehicles is a lot more advanced than anything I dealt with.
