Some, or should I say, many folders in windows vista are protected from changes and
require administrative approval for you to change every time. This can be annoying specially when you’re in a hurry to delete a file or a folder. Good thing Rich of mintywhite.com created a “hack” to add “take ownership” on the context menu on explorer files/folders.

Here’s how its done

First you just need to download the “take ownership” file here

- Unzip the archive and double click InstallTakeOwnership.reg.

- Click yes on the prompt

click "yes"

And you’re done!

How to use it?

Press and hold the “shift” key on your keyboard and right click on the file or folder that you wish to take ownership. Click “take ownership” context menu.

To uninstall, just double click the “RemoveTakeOwnership.reg” inside the archive.

Vista Ultimate SP2

At long last. Microsoft finally announces that they will be realeasing its “sequel” to their Windows Vista Service Pack1.

According to a Malaysian website that announced the release-to-manufacturing (RTM) dates for Vista SP1 and XP SP3 earlier this year, Microsoft will be releasing a final test version of Vista SP2 on February 2009. SP2 update includes Vista SP2 Windows Search 4, Bluetooth 2.1 wireless support, faster resume from sleep when a wireless connection has been broken and support for Blu-ray. Some of those features, including Windows Search and the Bluetooth support, have been available to Vista users for months through individual updates.

Sounds like a good news to Vista Owners like me
