Google Unveils Movie Rental on Android Market

Google announced today the availability of movies which can now be rented in Android Market starting at $3.99 each. A demo was presented this morning in Google I/O, held at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco, and I was able to watch it, thanks to the Youtube streaming service which enables me to be somehow present on the event.
Unfortunately though, the rental service isn’t available yet for all the Android users. Initially, Android 3.1 Honeycomb users can take advantage of this service such as Motorola Xoom whose recently got an Android 3.1 update recently but Android 2.2 froyo and Android 2.3 Gingerbread users will soon be enjoying the service in the following weeks.
