South Korean smartphone maker, LG Mobile, just recently announced the newest addition to their Android family of devices, the LG Optimus Sol.
The first wave of this newest smartphone from LG will be released primarily in Europe by mid-September to be shortly followed by Central and South America release. There’s no word yet if this will be rolled out in Asia but hopefully it will.
LG strongly believe that this upcoming smartphone will stand out from its competitors by delivering a high end device at the most affordable cost.
Unlike its Optimus siblings, the 2x and Black, the LG Optimus Sol will be equipped with Android 2.3 right out of the box.
KEY SPECS:
1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU
3.8-inch Ultra AMOLED screen display
512MB RAM. 2GB SD card included expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD
5MP rear-facing camera | VGA front-facing cam

9.8mm thin body
Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) – (*I’m kinda jealous)

Any word if it is coming to Asia, particularly Philippines? Am shopping for an android phone that has 1Ghz but there are not much to choose from that comes with Gingerbread out of the box. I was about to buy the Optimus Black and just wait for the release of the Gingerbread update but when i found out about Optimus Sol, maybe i’ll just have to wait til it reaches the Philippines. Which do you think is the better phone, Black or Sol assuming both are already on Gingerbread?
Waaahhhh! really, First is nokia now its LG. Sony Ericson have to do something about this, they don’t want to use the Samsung’s AMOLED display but its very amazing.
You can say that again Henry! SE has been making great walkman phones ever since but walkman alone won’t be enough reason for a phone user who prefers a “smarter phone” to patronize their products. Thanks for dropping by!
