Fearless WBO bantamweight champion Gerry Penalosa will move up in weight to fight rising star and super bantamweight champion Juan Manuel Lopez on April 25 at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

“They say I’m old and my days are numbered…” Penelosa recently told Filipino boxing journalist Dennis Principe. “Then we’ll see in this fight with Lopez. I know he is a tough fighter and fights toe-to-toe but I think he is still young. At this stage of our careers, I feel I am capable of beating him.”

This 12 round Junior Featherweight Title Bout will be held in Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on SATURDAY APRIL 25, 2008 AT 10:00 PM ET/PT LIVE ON HBO.
