Last August 2011, LG reported that the Official Gingerbread update release for LG Optimus 2x will be coming early October. Now, LG Mobile just released another announcement through their official facebook fan page.
LG explains that they are still “undergoing tests and improvements on the quality of the OS”. LG also says that they will just be giving out further updates come first week of November to let us know the status of their testing.
Here’s their official statement:
Many frustrated Optimus 2x users already opted to install custom roms on their devices and so far reported improvements. But most users still prefer to wait for the Gingerbread update for Optimus 2x.
What fears us most is that LG might have already ditched the support for their flagship device without us knowing. Your thoughts?

I totally agree with both of you. Despite of being a relatively nice hardware this was the last LG stuff I bought. NO MORE LG !!! EVER !!! It’s just a question of respect. I can understand that they encounter some troubles but not this kind of shit ! The “Dear Valued Vustomer” sounds more like “hey stupid guy you believed us”
Too late, I’ll sell it as soon as get the new Nexus Prime, buy google phone and we will get the latest features before everybody
no more LG that for sure.
Lies is good
agreed… no more LG and enough for me to accept more promises from LG… optimus 2x is a first dual processor mobile phone in this world, but it will the last device in my life!!
