An allegedly official Samsung Jelly Bean 4.1.1 ROM for the Samsung galaxy S3 (I9300) has recently surfaced over some blogs and website with a video showing its new features but a not so dramatically enhanced UI compared to its currently running OS, Ice Cream Sandwich.
I recently learned about this news when I was looking for a new stereo speakers online the other day and one link about smartphones brought me to the said video.
Here are some of the visible changes on the leaked Jelly Bean OS for Galaxy S3 according to sammobile.com:
We have found a few visible changes.
– A new clock (in line with JB vanilla) in the notification bar.
– A function called “Dormant mode”
– Google Now is accessed by touching the Google Search widget
– A couple of new Live Wallpapers
– “Palm swipe” lets you take a screenshot
– Reboot into “safe mode” (maybe just in test release)
Please be reminded though that this will void your official warranty upon installation.
You can find the instructions on how you can flash the leaked OS to your device here or you can wait a few weeks more for the ROM via OTA or via Kies.
