N Series notebooks now offer ASUS exclusive technology SonicMaster, a new audio hardware and software standard. Co-developed with Bang & Olufsen ICEpower®, SonicMaster completely reinvents the way audio is treated on notebooks. SonicMaster offers deeper and richer bass, a wider frequency range for greater fidelity, an overall power upgrade of sound generating hardware, and distinct vocals.
Multimedia Focus
N Series notebooks feature the finest video performance available on portable PCs. They utilize the new discrete NVIDIA GeForce 400M series of graphics processors, based on Fermi technology with native DirectX11 support. This offers users upgraded high definition graphics for gaming and multimedia entertainment.
They also use NVIDIA Optimus graphics switching technology, which alternates between integrated and discrete graphics processing, based on application demands. This leads to better-tuned performance and extended battery life.

Complementing the use of NVIDIA Optimus, the ASUS-developed Super Hybrid Engine intelligently switches between power consumption modes to ensure better, more streamlined performance and a lower energy profile.
N Series notebooks also offer USB 3.0, the latest data transfer standard. This new format works up to ten times faster than USB 2.0, so that even a 25GB high definition file only takes 70 seconds to process under optimal conditions.
