LG Mobile confirmed today that the Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0 OS will be initially available for their Optimus phone series. In a statement released by LG’s official facebook page, they are planning to have the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade available for their Optimus phones that were introduced this year.
The Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) OS will be initially available for the following high-end LG smartphones which were introduced this year: the Optimus 2X, the Optimus Black, the Optimus 3D and the Optimus LTE.
LG Mobile also notes that they are still testing the Android ICS OS‘s functionality, features and performance to see if they can make it available for their other smartphone devices. Users can expect the upgrade schedule lists and additional models that can be upgraded to ICS in December so you better make sure that you have already swiped one of these units on a cell shop’s barcode scanner when this happens.
Are you an LG smartphone user? Will you be upgrading your phone to a handset that can run on Android 4.0 if in case your LG handset cant handle the ICS update?
