ASUS Announces Availability of TUF Gaming VG32VQ, VG27AQ and VG27BQ Gaming Monitors

ASUS announced three new TUF Gaming monitors with ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync) technology — VG32VQ, VG27AQ and VG27BQ.

ELMB Sync is an ASUS-exclusive, next-gen technology that enables the use of both motion-blur reduction and adaptive sync in tandem, ensuring a crisp picture and smooth, judder-free animation and movement. For best results, an ELMB Sync display should be combined with a graphics card capable of pushing around 85+ fps in favorite games. Since the refresh rate of adaptive sync is variable, the effectiveness of the black-frame-insertion technique used by ELMB Sync is dependent on the effective frame rate.
The new TUF Gaming monitor lineup offers three variations on this theme, with the 32-inch, curved TUF Gaming VG32VQ and 27-inch, flat TUF Gaming VG27AQ and TUF Gaming VG27BQ. With refresh rates up to 165 Hz on the 27-inch models and 144 Hz on VG32VQ, each monitor comes with ELMB Sync, enabling a 1ms moving-picture response time (MPRT) while eliminating tearing and keeping input lag low for sharp gaming visuals at high frame rates. These TUF Gaming monitors are also compatible with the HDR10 standard for reproducing content with extended color and brightness levels.

    TUF Gaming VG32VQ
TUF Gaming VG32VQ features a 31.5-inch panel with a 16:9 widescreen ratio and 1800R curvature for a big, immersive display that sticks with a standard aspect ratio for better compatibility with games.

VG32VQ boasts a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and benefits from a panel that uses Vertical Alignment VA) LCD technology. This offers excellent viewing angles and contrast ratio superior to TN variants. The FreeSync™ range can go from 48 Hz to 144 Hz, meaning gamers will experience the advantages of FreeSync with any graphics card that support a sustained output of 48 fps — not a difficult task for today’s high-end and even mid-range GPUs.

    TUF Gaming VG27AQ
TUF Gaming VG27AQ features a 27-inch IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 resolution and G-SYNC Compatible certification, and it offers a balance between size and picture sharpness at a comfortable 109 pixels per inch. The IPS panel’s wide 178° viewing angle prevents colors from getting washed out from off-center angles, providing 99% sRGB color space without sacrificing picture quality. It also has an additional trick up its sleeve: the refresh rate can go as low as 48 Hz and as high as 165 Hz (overclocking) when using a DisplayPort connection.

Balancing image quality versus response time is always a delicate act, but it’s what TUF Gaming VG27AQ does best, all while running at an up to 165 Hz refresh rate.

    TUF Gaming VG27BQ
While it’s generally accepted that TN panels have narrower viewing angles and color gamuts compared to IPS or VA types, they have a particular skill of their own: the pixels can change colors in a single millisecond, significantly reducing blur in fast-moving pictures. That’s ideal for a fast gaming monitor, particularly in combination with our next-gen ELMB Sync. Those two ingredients form the exact recipe of TUF Gaming VG27BQ.

VG27BQ shares the same base specs as its IPS twin: a 27-inch panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, and support for ELMB Sync with an adaptive refresh rate that can go from 48 Hz to 165 Hz. However, the superfast 0.4ms response time of the TN panel joins forces with ELMB Sync in a best-of-both-worlds combo that elevates motion clarity to a whole new level.
Thanks to its exceedingly 0.4 ms low response time and top-notch motion blur reduction, TUF Gaming VG27BQ should be the tournament gamer’s first choice.

A TUF Gaming display for any preference
Whether it’s the immersive curvature of VG32VQ’s large, widescreen panel, the ultrafast response times enabled by VG27BQ that’s perfect for shooters and fast-paced games, or the wide viewing angles, color gamut and G-SYNC Compatible support served up by VG27AQ, there’s now a TUF Gaming monitor for many different situations and user demands — and a new force to be reckoned with in the display industry.

    AVAILABILITY & PRICING
ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ and VG27AQ are readily available from physical and online retail stores nationwide. Suggested retail price for the ASUS TUF VG32VQ is PHP 30,000 while the ASUS TUF VG27AQ is priced at PHP 28,370. Coming by the 3rd week of September is the ASUS TUF VG27BQ, priced at PHP 26,950.
