Today, Amazon revealed a brand new colored screen tablet, Amazon Fire. The announcement was made by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos today at around 10 a.m. ET. For the past few weeks, Amazon’s reps refused to tell any information about the product and even denied its existence. Nevertheless, the Android-based tablet, Amazon’s Kindle Fire, is already here with a hefty price tag of $199. Hefty, it is, considering that it lacks the integration of a camera, microphone or 3G. There’s this rumor going around the net that Apple will now be discontinuing their production of iPod classic and iPod Shuffle. The Unofficial Apple Weblog talks about it with a manner of certainty, claiming that iPod Classic and iPod Shuffle are “getting cut from Apple’s product portfolio sometime this year”. It is said that the big announcement will be revealed on the Apple event on Oct. 4th.

One thing that I that hate about social media is that when something is just ‘said’, most people will buy it. Earlier this morning, I was awaken by one (twitter) notification on my phone just like some Holiday Party Invitations that I often receive.
